Sara Parr Hall:

Division 1 National Champion Student-Athlete & Coach

My name is Sara Parr Hall. I am the founder, owner and coach of Rock Solid Coaching which specializes in equestrian recruitment and assisting student-athletes as they navigate life as a collegiate equestrian.

Growing up, I always loved horses and that love further turned into a passion when I realized that I could go on and ride as a college athlete. At a young age I set my sights high and knew I wanted to ride at the University of Georgia. Everything I did revolved around that one goal, and I was thrilled when the hard work paid off the first day recruiting opened.

Of course I realize not everyone’s story is the same. Many athletes have no idea which university they would like to attend nor what opportunities are out there. That is where I come in. Getting into a top university and onto your dream equestrian team can sometimes happen by luck, but more times than not it is hard work, dedication and presenting yourself to coaches at the right time and in the right way.

My prior experience as both a National Champion rider and coach allow me to have a unique perspective from both sides of the equation and I have been able to help countless riders on their recruiting journey. As a rider I received multiple Most Outstanding Performer Honors, an NCAA All-American, selected on the SEC All-Championship Team, the Most Outstanding Performer at the 2015 National Championship, a 2015 SEC Champion and a 2014 National Champion, to name a few. As a coach I was able to assist riders fulfill their dreams as well. During my tenure at the University of Georgia I coached multiple riders to NCAA All-American Honors, 2019 Western National Champions, 2019 Horsemanship National Champions and the 2021 Overall National Championship Title, just to name a few.

After my “retirement” from coaching I was approached to start offering consulting for aspiring equestrians and it has been full throttle from there. My passion has always been the student-athletes and setting them up for success as they enter their own recruitment season, and offering support during their career as a student-athletes.

FAQs

Ideally When Do I Start My Recruitment Journey?

While I believe that it is best to begin recruiting preparation during your 9th grade year I understand that that is not always possible. If a student-athlete begins our sessions after 9th grade, we will start with applicable items that would have begun that year and then move forward accordingly.
